Compressive flow phenomena are often seen on the flowfields with high fluid velocities. Such examples include flowfields around supersonic cruising aircrafts and rockets, flow inside a jet engine, and explosion phenomenon. Since the flowfields with compressive flows often involve combustion process and shockwave formation, conducting experiment is not always easy. At Matsuo Lab, we make use of the advantages of CFD to disclose the true physics of such phenomena and to contribute to the further development of fluid dynamics engineering.
